Best man was Steve Stark, brother of the groom.
Quests were ushered into the church by Paul Coonan
and Michael Bowers.
Following a reception at the White Carnation in
Holmesville, the couple left for a wedding trip to
Northern Onterio.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stark will reside in Goderich.

Candelabras with bouquets of white daisies and pink
and burgundy tinted dahlias decorated North Street
United Church in Goderich for the wedding ceremony
of Shirley Dianne Crawford and Ralph Donald Wood
on September 30, 1978 at 9 p.m.
The bride) is the eldest daughter of Horace and
Donna Crawford of RR6 Goderich and the groom is the
son of Don and Ann Wood of Seaforth.
The Reverend Ralph King officiated at the double -
ring ceremony. Mrs. Rose Loomans, soloist, sang
"The Lord's Prayer" and "0 Perfect Love" during
the ceremony. The service commenced with the
groom singing "The Wedding Prayer".
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She
wore an empress line gown of pure white silk organza
over tafetta, styled with a Queen Ann neckline. The
fitted bodice was appliqued with French re -
embroidered alcenon lace adorned with tiny seed
pearls. A silk cumberbund accented the waist. Mat-
ching lace appliqued the cuffs of the long, accordion
pleated bishop sleeves. The skirt of mushroom
pleating fell full to form a chapel train. A matching
Juliet cap held the fingertip illusion veil with chantilly
appliques.
The bride carried a silk cascade bouquet of pink and
burgundy roses, white and pink -tinted lilies, burgundy
forget-me-nots and dried statice.
The bride's sister, Darlene Crawford, of London,
was maid of honor. She wore a silk jersey rosette,
blouson gown with shoe -string straps and Brussels
lace trim. The gown featured a full-length accordion
pleated skirt and a matching chiffon cape that fell
softly to the waistline. She carried a nosegay of pink
carnations, burgundy and grey -blue -pink tinted
primulas.
Bridesmaids were Marie Fergusen of Goderich and
Sherry Gregg of London, friends of the bride and
Sharon Wood, sister-in-law of the groom, Seaforth.
They were gowned identically to the maid of honor and
carried the same nosegays.
Flowergirl was Stacey Riley, niece of the groom.
She was gowned similarly to the bridesmaids and
carried a similar nosegay.,
Groomsman was Bob Smale of Stratford, friend of
the groom.
Guests were ushered into the church by Bob Clark
and Kevin Henderson, both friends ofthe groom; and
Randy Wood, brother of the groom, all of Seaforth. '
Michael Kerr was ring bearer. He is the cousin of
the bride and son of Gerald and Annette Kerr of RR6
Goderich.,
The groom and his attendants were all attired in
burgundy tuxedoes with pink boutonnieres.
Following the wedding ceremonY, the couple were
driven to Saltford Valley Hall in a Model A Ford
owned by Jim Dalrymple of Seaforth, where the
dinner and reception were held.
The bride's mother greeted guests wearing a crystal
aqua, guiana jersey empress -line gown with matching
chiffon detachable capelet which fell full to the back
hemline. She wore a corsage of pink apple blossoms
which also dotted her hair.
The groom's mother chose a mint green gown and a
corsage of miniature pink carnations.
Both fathers wore burgundy tuxedoes,
For a wedding trip to the West Coast, the, bride
changed into a dusty rose pleated dress with grey
accessories. The groom was dressed in a grey wool
suit.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wood are residing at 76 Market
Street in Seaforth.
Prior to the wedding, the bride was feted at several
showers at her parents' home forfriends of the family.
Sharon Wood and Dawn Riley, sister and sister-in-
law of the groom, held a shower at the Orange Hall for
friends and relatives of the bride and groom in
Seaforth.
Kathleert Glen, aunt of the bride, held a shower at
her home for the Crawford relatives.
Marie Fergusen and Darlene Crawford held a Buck
and Doe shower for friends.
Mrs. Bernard Fisher, Mrs. John Buchanan, Mrs.".
Richard Buchanan, Mrs. Bill*Vantierlinde and Mrs.
Teunis Kolkman held a combination relatiVe (Fisher)
and community shower at Carlow Hall.

a soccer tournament on
October' 28 at Saint

the junior girls and Mr.
