Big bucks for MD
Michael makes
much "moola"
Michael Pottle nervously paced around his
yard on Cambridge Street Saturday afternoon
making sure things were going smoothly.
And his parents made frantic dashes to the
house frequently emerging with more baked
goods, prizes and hot dogs.
They went about their work with acute
anxiousness, trying to make sure that day
would be worthwhile. They were pleased with
the results and well they should be. -•
-
The Potties and their son, Michael sponsored
a carnival for Muscular Dystrophy Saturday
and through their efforts raised $155 for MD
research.
Their Cambridge Street yard was turned into
a beehive of activity as hundreds of youngsters
played penny toss, fish pond or guessed the
number of jelly beans in a jar for prizes and
fun.
The Pottle's carnival was successful because
of the involvement of a number of people.
Prizes were donated,, youngsters helped with .
the .op Cation of"games, and frihnds..;ai eigh- . <
