stairway was opened
while visiting friends in

UNDERWAY
Renovations to the
Dungannon Agricultural
Society Hall are well
underway.
Thanks to the many
people in the community
who have been devoting a
terrific amount of time
aa-nd effort in the -€ace-
-lifting of the Hall. The
community is already
noticing a great im-
provement.
Up to this point in time, '
__there is. anew roof on the
Dungannon Hall; the old
chimneys have been
removed, and the outside
fences are presently
being painted.
Some of the interior
walls have received a
new paint surface while
'others are awaiting their
completion,, A - much
brighter, better equipped
kitchen with a new tile
floor has been ac-
complished by the en-
thusiastic workers of the
Dungannon community.
Numerous other im-
provements are taking
place.
All efforts are being
made to have the
Dungannon Agricultural .
Hall looking its most
admirable for the softball
tournament being held
this coming weekend at

In Dungannon United
Church, Sunday, July 30,
1978, the Rev. Clyde
Westhaver's sermon was
"Christ the Pilot." -
Attention was directed
to the stained glass
window in memory of
Miss Celia Pentland on
which are the words
"Hope an anchor of the
soul."talent and service.
Miss Shelly Rivett,
Church organist was
presented with a gift by
Lloyd Hodges, chairman
of the Music committee.
Mr. Westhaver expressed
appreciation for her
talent and service.
The United Church will
be closed for the month of
August when Mr.
Westhaver has holidays
He • will be away from
Dungannon ap-
proximately from August
7 to 29. The Rev• Leonard
Warr of Meneset Park
has kindly agreed to look
after any pastoral
emergencies then.
On Sunday, August 6
Pastor Lawrence will be
conducting service in the
Christian Fellowship
Church. For the following
three weeks he will be. on
holidays at Monetville,
northern Ontario where
Mrs. Lawrence has been
this past week.
Note that church
services in the Christian
Fellowships Church will
continue to be held each
Sunday daring August
with visiting ministers in
charge.
