LEAVING COLBORNE
Colborne residents
come and go. This
weekend we shook hands
with James Ruddbck, and
said farewell, "We wish
you the best".
Years ago James
worked for the Goderich
Mfg. Co., Sifto Salt and
Guenther Transport and
lived in Goderich.
Apparently due to an
accident of some nature,
James found he was
long his eyesight .and
moved to his small,

house and small barn
near Loyal corner. He
certainly did a wonderful
job of persevering and
trying to carry on and
help to make a living
-even •with the heavy
handicap of the loss of
sight.
James and his • wife
Gladys appreciated any
help from neiThbors.
They were residents of
Colborne for about 30
years and farmed on a
small scale. They had
cattle and pigs an,d a big
garden.
A year ago Mrs.
Ruddock passed away
and James went to live
with his daughter in
Toronto for a while. Last
Saturday morning Jim
had a sale and his home
here will have a new
owner. While he went
back to Toronto to be with
his daughter, he plans to
make his home at
Huronview in the fall.
