Thirteen Rotarians
collected 20,260 pounds of
newspapers netting
$253.25 on Saturday
morning, June 17. This
represents a good income
for the Rotary Club and
an effort towards
recycling and less

lived here
Mrs. Barbara Dixon of
Bruceleaa Haven,
Walkerton died at the
County of Bruce Hospital
in Walkerton on Tuesday,
June 20 a,.t theage of 83.
She was born on July
11, .1899. in Lerwick,
Shetland Isles to Mary
(Laurenson) and James
Sandison. When she was
three years old, she
moved to Liverpool,
England, with her family.
She carne to Canada in
1919.
During the First World
War, she worked in a
munition factory in
Liverpool. She married
Ernest Dixon in Liver-
pool on July 2, 1919. After
moving to Canada, they
lived near Walter's Falls,
Ontario until moving to
Goderich in 1950.
Her husband
predeceased her ort
November•,29, 1971.
The late Mrs. ` Dixon
was a member* of St.
George's Anglican
'Church in Goderich.
She is survived by three
sons, Allan of Kirkland.
Lake, the Reverend
Lewis Dixon of Windsor
and John of Owen Sound;
three daughters, Mrs.
Sydney (Evelyn) Chapple
of Paisley, Mrs. William
(Agnes)' Muxlow ,of •
Meaford and Mrs.
William (Barbara)
McKee' of Goderich; one
sister, Mrs. Agnes Forfar
of California; one
brother, Fred Sandison
of Worthington, England;
13 grandchildren and 10
great=
grandchildren.
A funeral service was -
held at Stiles Funeral
Home in ,Goderich at 2,
p.m. on Friday , June 23.
The Reverend Robert
I3ennett of Paisley of-
ficiated.
Interment was in
Maitland Cemetery,
Goderich.
Pallbearers were ,the
late Mrs. Dixon's six
grandsons, Allan Dixon,
Kevin Dixon,David
--AMcKee, Peter McKee,
Fred Muxlow, • •and
George Chapple.

at convocation
ceremonies June 2 at the
University of Guelph.
Attending the ceremonies
were his parents and
sister, Jane Hunter.
Following the ceremonies
a dinner was held at the•
Elora Mill. Dr. Moncrief
is employed at Ripley -
Huron Veterinary Ser-
vices.

was spent on Tuesday,
June 20 at the home of
Mrs. Berta Dierolf where
a number of neighbours
and friends gathered to
extend best wishes to
Mrs. Emily Robinson
prior to. moving to her
new home, Twin Elms,
Adult Park, Strathroy••
and to present her with a
gift of money.
Mrs. Robinson thanked
the ladies for their kin-
dness and for their
friendship received
throughout the year she
spent in their midst. She
extended an invitation to
them to visit her in her
new home.
A dainty lunch was
served by the hostess and
Mrs. Helen Hadden.

Goderich. While here, she
„is staying with her sister,
Mrs. Allan (Jean)
Schram.
DR. PATRICK DOORLY
Dr. Patrick Doorly, son
of Dr. and Mrs. C.F.
Doorly of Goderich,
graduated on June 9 from
the Royal College of
Surgeons, Dublin,
Ireland, with an M.D.,
degree. He was educated
at Hallfield Prepartory
School in Birmingham,
England and with the
Jesuits at Clongowes
Wood College, County
Kildare, Ireland. He is
presently interning at
Victoria Hospital in
London, Ontario.
