The group isdivided into, two sections: the senior team and the beginners. The team practices on Sunday af- ternoon; the beginners take lessons on -Wednesday under 'the guidance of senior team member Debbie Bennett. Although the senior team has been practicing together for only a few months, the girls placed fourth at a recent synchro meet in Tillsonburg. Unfortunately, most of the senior team will be leaving the area next year to attend college or university, leaving a gap in the team. The club is actively seeking new members..- anyone who is at a Junior Red Cross level or above, is welcome to join. The Vanastra Synchronized Swimming Club will be putting on a water show in the pool at the Vanastra Recreation Centre, Sunday evening, May 28 at 8 p.m. The evening's display will include team routines, duets, solos and demonstrations of in- dividual skills. The girls have been rehearsing this show for several weeks and hope that it will be well attended. Tickets fo,r the show can be purchased at the Vanastra Recreation Centre. The money being raised will be used to buy stereo equipment for the Vanastra Recreation Centre: The team has been practicing for the water 'show and for its other swim meets, using borrowed sound equipment (or none at all). In order for a synchro club to improve, it must have its own stereo system. The new stereo at Vanastra will be available for use by other groups in the Recreation Centre as well. If. you are interested in seeing the show, joining the club or making a donation, call Joan Pinder, Seaforth 527-185-1 or Elizabeth Thompson Clinton 482-9225.
