Year Mrs. Scott co- ed the Family and Children's Services Christ- mas Bureau and she is helping with it again this year. She has also given talks this year to several groups on helping teenagers at Christmas. The Family and Children's Services teenagers are often overlooked or forgotten by people who think only of donating toys for smaller children. SMART Mrs. Scott had lots of foster children around her home one year when she made a big candy , house. She couldn't figure out why the children were being so good about not touching the house or picking off any of the candies. However, one day when she was dusting behind the house, she noticed that there was not a single candy left on the back of it. The children had been smart enough to take only those candies on the back so they would not be suspected. As for other hobbies, Mrs. Scott likes sewing, knitting and crocheting. She has made several sweaters for Christmas presents this year. She and two of her daughters also take ceramics together and they are presently working on a quilt together as well. Mrs. Scott doesn't expect to make a fortune on the candy house project. So far she has orders for about 15. She and her daughter made about five houses in one night. She leaves a note pad by the phone for her family to take any orders that might be called in while she is away. Her family teases her by saying, "That phone hasn't stopped ringing all day." They are not referring to calls for orders but to all the calls that come in on a busy party line which the family shares with others. Still Mrs. Scott has fun working on the project and what she doesn't sell, she will give away to friends and relatives.
