first and third Tuesday of
each Month. Since the in-
stallation. of new officers in
October, the officers and
members have continued on
their busy way.
On November 1, the officers
and members met at MacKay
Hall with the new Noble
Grand Sister Ada Fritzley
presiding.
An invitation to visit
Wingham Lodge on
November 7 was read. More
than 35 members went by bus
to that Lodge on that date.
The Lodge was also invited
to a dessert -card party at the
Clinton Lodge on October 26.
A letter was read from the
Goderich Legion asking the
Lodge for a wreath or
donation on Remembrance
Day. It was decided to send a
wreath.
Sister Irene Harnacl gave
a full report of the irork of the
C.P.&T. committee. She gave
special thanks to President
Sister Cora Caesar and to
Sister and Brother
Osbaldeston and Sister and
Brother Fritzley for their
faithful work.
A letter from the Bluewater
Centre was read asking for
help with their bazaar. For
more information on this,
contact Mrs. Grace Patterson
or -Mrs. Fran Wray.
A letter from the Children's
Aid Society was read.Mrs.
Scott of this organization had
previously explained their
needs at Christmas time
especially. A donation was
given by the Lodge.
On Tuesday evening,.
November 15, a euchre party
was held after the Lodge
meeting to which the Odd -
fellows and other friends

were invited. Prizes were as
follows: high lady - Mrs.
Irene Oke; high gentleman -
Harold Larder; low lady -
Mrs. J. Sneider and Mrs.
'Mary Holmes tied; and low
gentleman - Charles Moore. A
lovely lunch was served by
the ladies after the party.
At the next meeting the
officers will put on the
degree. -

MR. AND MRS. SAMUEL WALTER SHEARDOWN
• Cambridge
wedding
Knox's Galt Presbyterian Church (Cambridge) was
adorned with autumn decorations on September 24 for
the marriage ceremony of Barbara Marion Cowan and
Samuel Walter Sheardown both of Cambridge.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E.
Cowan of RR 2, Cambridge (Hespeler) and the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Sheardown of 58 St.
Andrew Street in Goderich.'
The Reverend R.A. Jackson of Cambridge officiated at
the double ring ceremony. Music for the ceremony was
prOvided by the organist, Mr. Ewart Bartley who played
The Processional and the trio of Sandy Rea, Heather
Campbell and Debbie Rea who sang Peaceful Waters and
The Wedding Song.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She
wore a wedding gown of white French satin de chine. The
bodice of the gown featured a keyhole neckline trimmed
with lace. The skirt of the gown was flared and gored. A
train was set into the midriff. The long sleeves fastened
with buttons and r_ouleau loops. The matching Juliet cap
with appliqued lace held a veil of fingertip length sheer
nylon net edged with lace trim. The bride carried a
bouquet of white roses, white mums and ivy.
Maid of honor was Katherine Cowan of Hespeler, sister
of the bride. She wore a terra cotta polyester peau de
satin dress. She carried a bouquet of orange roses and
yellow straw flowers with dark brown velvet ribbons.
Groomsman was Christopher Price of Cambridge.
Ushers were Robert Cowan of Cambridge and Wayne
Sheardown of Goderich. The groom's attendants wore
brown tuxedos. +1
Following the wedding ceremony, a dinner and dance
were held at the Dundee Country Club in New Dundee.
The bride's mother greeted guests in a taupe polyester
knit gown with a corsage of orange sweetheart roses.
The groom's mother wore a burgundy polyester knit
jacket dress with a corsage of white sweetheart roses.
For a wedding trip to Ottawa and Lake Placid (New
York), the bride changed to a three piece brown tailored
skirt suit with matching accessories with a corsage of
shrimp silk trailing roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sheardown will reside at RR 1,
Troy, Ontario. The groom is employed as a technician
with the Allan Bradley Company of Galt and the bride is
employed by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and
Food as a home economist.
Prior to the wedding the bride was feted at a shower
hosted by Mrs. Sheardown, Mrs. S. Harris and Mrs. E.
Parker; at one hosted by Mrs. S. Linton, Mrs, J. Barrie
and Mrs. W. Clark and at one hosted by Mrs. H. Gunn and
Mrs. A. Robinson. A staff party was held for the bride by
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Holden. Stags were held in both
Goderich and Cambridge for the groom.
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Sheardown entertained the
rehearsal party at the home of their daughter, Mrs.
Ernie Parker, in Kitchener.
Out-of-town guests were present at the wedding from
Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Somhra, Goderich, Guelph
and Ingersoll.
