The stars staged an in- credible third period five -goal rally to overcome a three - goal deficit to defeat Lam- beth 8 - 6. The teams were tied at two after one period of play but Lambeth jumped out to a 5 - 3 lead after two periods. Lambeth increased the margin to three goals early in the third period before Goderich took advantage of several manpower ad- vantages that resulted in the five -goal rally. Paul' Schaefer engineered the Stars eight -goal attack with four goals including two unassisted efforts in the third Terry Crowley regular schedule, put out Clinton in the other semi-final game. The Vikings will lose only two players, Brenda Pollock, and Karen Pond for next year. Coach Doidge paid tribute to Karen Pond for the fine job this season of calling and setting up the offensive plays for the Vikings, saying that Karen deserved the respect that her team-mates showed her.
