Man can he inspired. I and not sure that 'inspiration' is a contenlpoInr\ word. It has Laded from use. If e•nlploy it at all it is in respect to special gifts that appear in poets, artists, musicians and the like. But the average person in our to be uninspired and uninspirahle. Inspiration means literall\ to breathy into. It collies from atieiellt roots -in- me'anin! Ill and "spirare," to breathe. To inspire is to breathe into. To be inspired is to rcee•i\c the breath. A human being is capable of reeeieing a new spirit like breath coaling into hila. f=ollowing the crucifixion and the re9tirrection the disciples were gathered in a certain house in fear. RUTLEDGE Lloyd G. Rutledge of 1864 Parkhurst Avenue in London and formerly of Goderich died at Westminster Hospital in London on Friday, October 7. He was 59. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Wright); one son, Robert of London; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Linda)' Thompson of Peterborough and Donna at home; one sister, Mrs. Ross (Muriel) Harrison and one brother, Roy Rutledge, both of Goderich and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held in Ingersoll on Monday, October 10 at 2 p,m. The - Reverend Robert Williams of Trinity United Church of- ficiated. Interment Street Cemetery. was in Harris New residents welcomed Mrs. Peck of Hensall and Mrs. Hazel Coutts of Seaforth were welcomed to the Home at Monday's program. Elsie Henderson, Norman Speir and Jerry Collins provided the old time music and helped to lead the sing -a -long. The program for Family Night was arranged by Mrs. McQuaid of Seaforth and announced by Mrs. Hicknell. The McQuaid sisters, Madonna, Ann Marie and Carol Ann entertained with violin solos and trios as well as step dancing accompanied by Mrs. McQuaid and Nelson Howe of Staffa. The Hicknell sisters, Teresa and Margaret provided their own guitar accompaniment to sing several popular and sacred numbers. Miss Marion Gray thanked the entertainers on behalf of the residents. The Over 90 Club met on Wednesday afternoon and the theme of the program was Thanksgiving. Readings were given by Miss Jackson, Mrs. Ramsay and Mrs. Hunking. A guest of the.Club, Mrs. Josie Cunningham Sang two solo numbers and the Huronview Orchestra provided the music. The Walkerburn Club volunteers assisted with the activities. Mr. Knight, who had been ill for the past five years, was 75 years old. Mr. Knight was born on August 13, 1902 in Sylvan, Jntario to Robert and Mary Knight. He attended elementary school and high school in Parkhill and also lived in Kitchener and Mit- chell before moving to Clinton in I929. He became a member in the Association of Professional Engineers in August 1938 and was em- ployed with Ontario for 42 years. Mr. Knight is survived by his wife, the former Meulalia Lou, Whom he married in 1927. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Irene Park of Parkhill and one brother, Phillip of Parkhill, Funeral services were held on Monday, October 3 at the Ball's Funeral Home with Rev. John Oestreicher and Rev, Norman Pick in charge. Interment followed at the Sylvan Cemetery in Sylvan: Pallbearers were Leonard Arnston, Lorne Brown, George La vis, Arnold Dale, Paul Wheeler and Roy Wheeler all of Clinton. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. George Elliott, Fred Elliott, Brock Olde, Elliott Bartliff, Stewart Middleton, George Walker and William Gardner of Goderich. Building Corporation.
