Many of the pupils at
13rookside are selling bags of
chocolate bars to raise money
for the Students Council
which will be used for
something to benefit the
whole student body or for
some worthy cause. First
prize for selling the most bars
is $I5, second prize is $10 and
third prize is $5.00.
Cross Country is corning up
next week so all the pupils
participating are practicing
to win.
On Wednesday, October 5,

sampled these goodies and
helped clean up the kitchen.
The next meeting will be on

East Wawanosh
accepts petition
East Wawanosh Council
received a petition for
'drainage works from Karl
Whitfield at its Council
meeting on October 4. The
petition which was also
signed hy Raymond Manahan
Mrs. Jean Seiling, was
accepted by council. E.W.
Shifflett, engineer of Gamsby
and Mannerow will be con-
tacted regarding the petition.
Two building permits were
issued by council. One was for
Murray Vincent to build a
granary and one was for
Kenneth Mason to build a
driving shed.
Council decided to give a
grant of $150 to the East
Wawanosh Recreation, Parks
and Community Centre
Board to be forwarded to the
Auburn Hall Board.
Council decided to write-off
$8.18 regarding repairs to the
