HIGHWAY MISHAP .
Three ambulances were
required to take Mr, and Mrs.
Charlie Fowler and Mr.
Frank Austin to the
Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital, „Goderich
on.. Thursday afternoon,
October 6 following a collision
at the intersection of County
Roads 1 and 25 at Carlow. Mr.
Austin and Mrs. Fowler were
transferred by ambulances to
the University, Hospital in
London where they remain in
the Intensive Care Unit. Mr. OP
Austin suffered -'broken ribs
on both sides which had ai
bruised the lungs causing 11
them to be partially coilap- IP
sed. A crushed pelvis caused •
ruptured bladder which was •
repaired in surgery per •
-
formed around 11:30 Thur •
-
sday evening. Mrs.. Fowler
hds broken collar bone and
frdctured ribs. Mr. Fowler •,.n
wds admitted to the Goderich
Hospital and kept over night •
for observation. The driver of
the other car was Hans
Bakeldar of Auburn. Mr. ,
Bakelaar was treated at the
f•oderich hospital and
roleased.
'Two parked vehieles, a pick
up track owned by Ronald
McPhee and a car belonging
to the Gelco Corporation of
Canada f Seaforth were also
involved. The accident was
invi,stigated by Constable
Charlton, Ontario Provincial
