and -gospel musk and she
loves to dance. She also likes
t laugh and joke. She has a
philosophy that says, be
Witty and cheerful, do for
others and don't always
expect them to do for you.
Living by that philosophy has
made Mrs. Deeves a
charitable person. She has
done such things as gathering
belongings for a family who
were - burned out of their
home.
Mrs. Deeves is also a
member of the Goderich
Township Women's Institute.
She is always on the go but
she is making the most of
each day and,enjoying life to
its fullest.
It is not surprising that
Mrs. Deeves "just fitted right
in with everybody" in her
new community. By "doing
for others" she is making a
contribution to her com-
munity and the people of that
community in turn welcome
and appreciate her.

Mrs. Blanche Deeves of RR3 Clinton has always wanted
to go West and see the Canadian Rockies and this sum-
mer she did just that. "Canada is gorgeous," she says. "I
don't care about Florida and places like that." Mrs.
Deeves brought back some post cards of her travels for
her poit card collection. She is the Holmesville news
correspondent for both the Clinton News Record and the
Goderich Signal-Star.(staff photo)
Mrs. Blanche Deeves of RR3 Clinton returned from a trip
to Golden, B.C. where she met a pen pal she has been
writing to for ten years. She visited the two weekly
newspapers in Golden and as Holmesville news
correspondent for both the Clinton News Record and the
Goderich Signal -Star, she brought them greetings from
those papers and they in turn sent greetings back. Here
she holds a copy of the Golden Star in which her picture..
appeared on the front page with her pen pal and her
husband Ed Deeves.(staff photo)
