• scoreless game exploding for
seven runs in the fourth in-

strength of a Bill Westbrook
two -run homer that scored
' Alex MacDonald.
The Leafs. closed the gap
' with three wins in the fifth
and a five run rally in the
bottom of the sixth inning to
pull within two runs but the
Beavers rallied for five runs
in their final at bat to regain a
seven run margin, The Leafs
replied with a meagre one -
run comeback in the bottom
of the seventh.

Vanderburgh and Don
Hubickled the Leafs with -two
hits apiece in three trips to

and a stingy defense allowed
only four runs in two games
en route to the final,

game 1-0 over Dungannon
despite a final inning rally by
the Dungannon squad. They
advanced to the final with a
close 6-4 decision over the
Benmiller Foresters in the
semi-final while two
Foresters were left stranded
on base with the final out.

offense in the semi-final with
a solo home run to left field.
