Council studied estimates prepared - 'by -treasurer Alex McBurney and passed a bylaw at the last `'-two •miffs -Os -well. Last year meeting making the figures the county business and commercial rate was 23.498 and this year it is 25:':94. The separate school rate is 35.585 up from 32.593. Rates in the village of Auburn did not change in the new budget. Council also approved a '1,000 grant for the Blyth and District Community Centre Board in other business. As well as giving_ away. the money council designated Donald Dow and Robert Marshall as representatives of the council on the board. Council accepted a request to have the Hallahan- Caldwell drain cleaned out.
