Missionary society busy for others
The Calvary Baptist Church NMS have made articles of clothing, crib
quilts, stuffed animals. diapers and blankets which will be sent to children in
Bangladesh. The project, which has lasted seven months, involves the
Christian Memorial Hospital in Bangladesh where the \VMS has sent

Monday, morning about 3;30
a.m. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Avery were awakened by a
big noise and squawking
chickens. A truck carrying a
large Toad of'chickens hit the
bridge putting 19 crates of
chickens everywhere.. Mr.
sand Mrs. Avery went out to
see if they could he of any
help and it was 5:30 before
they settled hack do).vn'to hed.
With all the feathers lying on
the road. the birds are having
their next building made
easy.
Mr. and Mrs. Duff are busy
getting their new home in
place on the foundation today.

Tara spending a few days
helping out.

Holmesville School at 8 p.m.
with President Bernice
Mcllwain in the chair. The
meeting opened '.v'ith the
singing,- of the Women's
Institute Ode, with Charlotte
Norman at the piano and the
repeating of the Mary
Stewart Collect, Roll call was
made by all. "Som.efhing I

minutes of the last meeting,
-correspondence was read by
Alice. Discussion was held on
the selling of spoonswith a
portrait of Adelaide Hunter

Women's Institute,
Discussion was also held on a
hooking and br'ai'ding a rug at
the Goderich Jubilee Fair.
Hazel McCreath reported on
a bus trip to Oshawa or
Hamilton..
'Marion Powell had the
ladies play a game of moving,
it turned out to be very much
fun for all. Marion Powell
then made a motion for the
Institute to beautify the front
of the Holmesville School.

Playhouse bill con
"Although several changes
have occurred in the
Playhouse line-up of plays,
the list is now final,"
Playhouse Manager James
Murphy announced recently.
"Any Wednesday," the
Broadway and Hollywood hit,
is the newest addition to the
summer season (replacing
"The Owl & The Pussycat").
"Berlin to Broadway" is
the other new addition to the
line-up. It will be the season's
musical revue and is a guest
production from Montreal's
Phoenix Theatre. Maxim
Mazumdar, whose one-man
cho "flcr•nr R nmemhereri".
was presented at Stratford
last season and which goes to
Broadway this Fall, is the
featured player. "Berlin to
Broadway" is a tribute to the
musical greatness of Kurt
Weill, It spans 20 turbulent
years, the 30's in Berlin and
Paris through the post -War
90's in America. It features
such songs as "Mack the
Knife", and "September
Song".
The season's plays and
