the teenager': "What can we
do, where can we go -"
The answer is - "Go home'
Hang the storm windows.
paint the woodwork. rake the
leaves, mow the grass, shovel
the walk, wash the car. L.earn
to cook, scrub some floors,
repair the sink. Build a boat.
Get a job.
Help the minister, priest or
rabbi, the Red Cross, the
Salvation Army or visit the
sick. Assist the poor, Study
. your lessons. And when you
are through and not too tired,
read a book.
Your parents do. not owe
you entertainment. Your
town does not owe you
recreation facilities. The
world does not owe you a
living. YOU owe the world
something.
You owe it your time and
energy and your talents so
that no one will be at war, or
in poverty, or sick or lonely
again.
In plain simple words„
GROW UP, quit being a cry-
baby - get out of your dream
world, develop a back hone - -
not a wish hone and start
acting like a man, or a lady.
I'm a parent, I'm tired of
nursing.- appealing, begging,
excusing, tolerating, denying
myself needed comforts for
every whim and fancy - just
because your selfish ego,
instead of common sense,
dominates your personality
and thinking and requests.

,This was written many,
many years ago and we seem
to have the same problems
but more of then), I think,
today. I believe the teenagers
would read this and think
about it seriously, since they
'are not all lazy and just
wanting .handouts they don't t
earn.
1 can only hope the young
parents with their young ones
growing up.(it has to start at
the age of tw'or. can fight for
their rights against this wave
of thoughtlessness.
-There are so many things to
do and see and plan. that it is
hard to know where to start

evening of old time music on
Family Night provided by
Howard Smith .and Archie
Mann of Brussels along with,
Huronview's Elsie Henderson
and Norman Speir,
Mrs. McCreight thanked
the entertainers on behalf of
the residents.

May 12 to May 19 was Police Week. The Goderich'O.P,P. and town police set up a display
in the Suncoast Mall last Thursday which included pamphlets and various methods of
