GUT ready with new show
The Goderich Little Theatre is putting the final touches on its next
production Night Must Fall a murder mystery by Emlyn Williams. The play
features a cast of seven some of whom are (from left) Bill Cochrane who
plays a Scotland Yard detective, Cathy Jenkins, who plays a cook, Beth
Markson, a rich widow, Joyce Kuran, the rich widow's niece and Greg
Markson who plays Olivia's (Kuran's) boyfriend. The play will open April 27
for four nights at MacKay Hall and also stars Don Nicholson and Betty

Auburn ladies help celebrate birthday
The Easter meeting of the
Presbyterian Women's
Missionary Society was held
last Wednesday evening at
the home of Mrs. Frank
Raithby. The president, Mrs.
, Wilfred Sanderson was, in
charge. The Easter service in
the Glad Tidings was followed
with Mrs. Roy Daer as
leader', All. members ' took
part in the readings and the
hymn readings. An invitation
to attend. the 100th an-
niversary of First
Presbyterian Church.

It was announced that the
spring meeting -of Huron
'Presbyterial will. ,be.. held on
April 27at 1:30 p.m. when
Rev. Miss Leslie Lundell of
• Atwood would he the guest
speaker. Mrs: Frances Clark
received the offering which
was dedicated with prayer- by
Mrs. Sanderson. The study on
Symbols and customs of
Easter down through the
years was taken by Mrs. -
Frances Clark. She also told
about the Ukranian Easter
and how they observe Holy
week and Easter,
Mrs. Frances Clark was
honoured with the presen-
tation of a Life Membership
in the Women's Missionary
Society of the Presbyterian
Church in Canada. Mrs.
Eleanor Bradnock spoke a
few words of appreciation to
Mrs. Clark for her work in the
Auburn W.M,S. Mrs. Clark
thankef the members and the
meeting was closed with the
hymn, Christ the. Lord is
Risen today and the
benediction. A delicious lunch •
was served by Mrs. Raithby,.
I -H CLUB
The seventh meeting of
Auburn' I, 4-1-1 meeting was
held last week at the home of
Mrs, John Hildebrand. The
president Kim McDowell was
in charge and opened the
meeting with the 4-H pledge.
The roll call was answered by
giving plans for your next
sewing project at. home or
name a new sewing technique
learned during this project.
The leaders, Mrs. Donald.
Cartwright and Mrs. John
Hildebrand, demonstrated
binding on knits,,and also how
to set in sleeves. The girls
worked on their skit -Sleep
and Lounge in Comfort for
Achievement Day on April 30

successful Rummage Sale,
First prize in the draw, a case
of pop, was won by Patti
Barger: second, a chocolate
rabbit, by Jeff, Alton and
third, Easter eggs : by Mr.
Hazlitt: The "Guessing the
Candies" contest resulted in
first prize going to Martha
Curran and second prize to
Charlene Elphick,
On Wednesday of the same
Week Mr. J. Consitt of the
Royal Bank in. Lucknow
spoke to both Grade 8 classes
on Banking after which they
had a question and answer
period.
Next week is Education
Week at the school and the
schedule is fairly complete.
Monday is Orientation Night
at F.F. Madill High School for

O,P.P. in conjunction with the
Huron County Health Unit Is
presenting a film on
"Babysitting" to which any

Smoking..
Class pictures are being
taken next week, Tuesday,
April 19 at the school, These
will be available for students,
interested in buying several
,weeks from now.
On Wednesday April 20 the
school will be, open to in-
terested parents. A Science
and Hobby Fair in which all
students will participate is
planned for the same day.
Practise and planning are
continuing for the Spring
Concert to be held at the
school on the evening of May
