Mrs. R. McCallum assistant Education Con- vener announced that Jackie Denomme and Bill Hall were the winners of the Essay Contest for Grade 8 pupils and that their essay about Canada's Royal Heritage,. would be forwarded to the National Chapter. Kim Fritzley, a recent winner of the Public Speaking Contest for Grades 4, 5 and 6 was introduced b'y Mrs. McCallum. Kim gave a delightful, humorous talk about her various pet dogs. Mrs. R. McGee reported that the babysitting course under the direction of Mrs. E. Van Den Broeck, Citizenship secretary had been most successful. Approximately twenty boys and girls com- pleted the requirements for a babysitting certificate. Mrs. Royal thanked Mrs. Papernick for the use of her home and the meeting closed with "God Bless Our Queen and Canada." Bridge Scores The Goderich Duplicate, Bridge Club enjoyed a Howell game on April 5. There were 51/2 tables in play.
