Relatives here received
word of the death of Mrs.
Morley Gibbs (nee Margaret
Kilpatrick) Calgary, Alta. on
March 25, 1977 in her 92nd
year. She was born on May 24,
1885, the daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. John Kilpatrick
(nee Frances Albin) of Crewe
where she will be remem-
bered as a teacher. A brother,
Milton Kilpatrick, of
Goderich, survives and her
daughter Miss Jean Gibbs in
Calgary. Sympathy of friends
is extended to the relatives.
There was a good at-
tendance at Easter Sunday
service at Dungannon United
Church. The choir sang, "I
Found a Miracle," with
Shelley Rivett at the organ.
Rev. H.G. Dobson spoke on
the topic, "What am "'I to do
with Jesus?" The front of the
church was beautiful with an
Easter lily and potted mums.

Anderson from Olds, Alberta
and vicinity. Evelyn and Mrs.
Rempel have corresponded
a pen pals for the past
twenty years but this was the
first time they met face to
face.
Mrs. Melinda Nivins,
Clinton came from the
hospital to stay with Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Errington for' a
while. She still has difficulty
getting around since injuring
her knee in a fall at her
home.
Several from here attended
the drama at Lucknow United
Church on April 5.

Cancer Society, .welcomed a
group of interested women to
the first "learning ex-
perience" offered locally, and
introduced the guest speaker,
Dr. David Walker.
A film, "Decision",
produced by the Canadian
Cancer Society, illustrating
breast self-examination, was
shown.
Dr, Walker commented on
the film and discussed the
various methods used to
detect breast cancer, the
surgery required, and the
chances of recovery. He
interviewed Phyllis Pitblado
on the adjustments, physical
and emotional, which must be
made by the mastectomy
patient.
Members of the audience
participated in a question and
answer period.

Fellowship congregation met
on Friday morning for a Good
Friday communion service.
Pastor Douglas Zehr con-
ducted the Easter Sunday
service. He preached on an
Easter theme, "There is
more to come," with em-
phasis on Christ's
resurrection, taken from
Mark, Chapter 16.

On Wednesday, April 6 the
Dungannon Women's Institute
met at the home of Mrs. Alvin
Kerr at 12:30 p.m. for the
annual meeting.
Mrs. Elmer Black,
president, welcomed 21
members, two visitors and
three children to the pot -luck
dinner and meeting.
Following the W.I. grace
everyone enjoyed "sam-
pling' many variations of
tempting foods from the well -
laden table. Tea and coffee
were served by Mrs. Kerr.
The meeting followed
beginning with the opening
ode and Mary Stewart
Collect. The topic on "Our
History" was given by Mrs.
Warren Zinn, curator of
Tweedsmuir histos:y, for our
Branch. She ' outlined the
work to be done in compiling
a complete history of the
south part of Ashfield and
West Wawanosh area in-
cluding Dungannon, Nile and
Port Albert burroughs.
Research work at the
Registry Office provided an
outline and then members
and all interested persons will
add details for each lot and
property. Your help with
material information and
pictures is needed and you

Mrs. Harry Girvin read the
minutes of the last meeting,
the treasurer's report, and
correspondence. The
auditors, Mrs. Zinn and Mrs.
Irvin reported.
A delayed letter from the
Provincial President, Mrs.
Herb Maluski of Chesley was
read and its suggestions
noted. Open House at the
Erland Lee Home is June 6 -
10, and W.I. members are
urged to visit.
Several quilt blocks were
on display, a project to raise
money by their sale at the
Erland Lee Home. The 80th,
Anniversary celebration is to
be July 12 at Guelph in the
form of a banquet.
The Spring concert at
Brookside school is May 5,
and Music night at Goderich
is May 12.
A report re Huronview
Auxiliary, craft room and
their tea and bake sale were
given. It is hoped to have the
draw for the quilt and afghan
at the June meeting.
A committee was named to
look after cards for the sick
and shut-ins at Easter.
Three members attended
the executive meeting at
Belgrave, Monday, May 4, to
help plan the District Annual
which is to be held in Clinton
May 30. Summary Day for the
quilt course is open to all May
25 in Clinton.
A donation was made to the
gift for Miss Pengelly home
economist, recently married.
Pictures taken for Home
and Country magazine must
be in black and white, not
color.
The committee to plan next
years programme is to meet
April 11 in the evening at the
home of Mrs. E. Black.
The report of the
nominating committee was
read and the election of of-
ficers was conducted by Mrs.
Graham McNee. All joined in
