Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich was decorated
with candle standards, 'white mums, daisies and pink
gladiolii and tall baskets of the same flowers when Mary
Helen Schaefer of Goderich became the bride of Paul
Thomas Paquette, Cambridge.
The Rev. Lockhart Royal officiated for the double -ring
ceremony. Organist was William Cameron and special
music was supplied by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Madge who
sang Hawaiian Love Song and We've Only Just Begun.
The bride' is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Schaefer and, the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Stanley Paquette, all of Goderich. • '
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She
wore a gown of white peau de soie trimmed with applique
guipure lace and seed pearls with self forming train and
a fitted bodice of appliqued guipure lace and seed pearls:
Her cathedral=length veil fell from a fitted cap of guipure
lace and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white and
pink carnations, 'baby's breath., stephanotis and green
ivy.
Miss Marlen Yeo, Holmesville, a friend of the bride,
was maid of honor in a royal blue silk velvet dress. She
carried a.basket 'of pink carnations, baby's breath, white
daisies and fern.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. David (Louise) Bray,; sister of
the bride, Gode"rich, and Mrs, Bill (Susan) ,Duckworth,
sister of the groom, Qoderich. They were gowned
identically to the.maid of honor.
Lisa Baker, cousin of the bride, Owen Sound, and
Heather bogie, Saltford, friend .of the 'bride,were
flowergirls. They were gowned alike in red silk velvet'
gowns and carried small baskets of pink carnations,
baby's breath, white daisies and fern. �
Groomsman was Bill Brazeau,Cambridge, a fri'enti of
the ••groom. Ushers were Bruce Walter, cousin of the
bride, Chatham, and Dan Paquette, brother of the
groom, Chatham, The menwore navy tuxedo suits with
velvet lapelsland ruffled white shirts trimmed in blue.
The wedding reception was at The White Carnation at
Holmesville. The guests' tables were decorated with.
candles, daisies and pink carnations.
The bride's mother received her guests in a pearl grey
silky jersey interlock long-sleeved gown, with a corsage
of white gardenias and stephanotis. The groom's mother
assisted her in a rust silk9 jersey interlock gown with a
long-sleeved jacket and a corsage of white roses.
For travelling to .points South, the bride wore 'a street
length navy blue dress with whiteand navy accessories
and a corsage of red roses...
Mr. and Mrs. Paquette are residing in Cambridge,
Several miscellaneous showers • were given in the
bride's honor prior to her marriage. Hostesses were Mrs.
Jean Smith, and.Mrs. Kay' Alexander at the Smith home
in Goderich; Mrs. Louise Bray and Miss Marlene Yeo at
the Bray home in Goderich and Mrs. Noni .Rose at her
home in Amherstburg.

The 25 members of the F.E.
Madill Secondary School Ski
Club will travel to Moonstone
Resort in Barrie sometime
during January or February
with the final date dependent
on the weather. The outing
will be a weekend venture
and has become anannual
event at the school.
All costs for the trip will be
covered by a $25 fee paid by
