The theme for the service was "Joy to the World." Patricia Harris led the service with John Oestreicher giving the narration throughout. Once again, the children's story centered around the Advent Wreath, with the Candle of Sharing being lit. Tracy Norman and Shelley Crawford took part in this. Christmas customs in various countries around the world were explained by the intermediate class, with the nursery assisting. Those representing the countries were as follows: Great Britain, Jean Betties and' Shari 'Lobb; France, David Lobb and Gregory Crawford ; the Ukraine, .Marilyn Cox, Jina Mustard and Sheri Preszcator; Germany, Lori Harris, and Bev Jantzi; the., Netherlands, Cheryl Thompson and Dban Potze; -and Poland, Karen Jantzi, and Jonathan and Jeff Oestreicher. Prayers for the world were given by the intermediate class. The White Gifts were attempting to sell Ithocolate bars in the area. in order to raise money for its various activities.
