The five points picked'. up by Hermies Heripits slide them into third - piace, above average. bowling hurrahs to George. and Flo, Hermie°'and - Aisla and Ross and Frankie. The Pin Shakers, Glen and Marie Webster, Lewis and Norma Yundt, and Allan and .Karen Webster only took. two points but they are in'second place with.a total of 25.The Pin Downers John and Mary Bissett, Alvin and Janet Daer. and Koop and Tryn de Groot captured the other five points available. Mary gave a real• boost to the second ':game when' she, got the high single of 276 - (Triple 684), and tied with Vi Fuller for high average of 195. The Rovers captained by Doug Fuller only :got two December 5 shows Paints for the evening but positions unchanged but a honourable mention goes to great battle is on. A third period Merchant rally made the difference breaking a 2-2 tie that held until 15 seconds before 'the end of the second period. Charlie Robertson fed Ron Whetstone a pass and he shoved the puck'past Gould for a 1-0.Merchant lead. The scoring stood until the 12:05 mark of the `second period when Robertson fed Paul Corriveau a neat pass and Corriveau beat Gould for the Merchants' second goal, The Combines rallied in the middle period to tie the,score.
