This cheque was., for :the. R.C.L. and Ladies Auxiliary bursary fund: There was $'100,000 spent in bursaries throughout :the province last year. Another cheque for $10,000 was :given to the R.C. L. to Swell the funds of the Service Bureau. There were 40 present and 500 and euchre were played. ° High lady in 500 was Mrs,' Fowler; high man, Harold Stanbury. Mrs. Snell won the door prize,. Lunch was served by the lunch committee. • The next" meeting will be October 6 in MacKay Hall at 8 o'clock. This ` will be a btlsiness meeting. • ' On Thursday, October 14 a Fall Rally will be held 'in Saitford Valley Hall. This is" Zone 8com`prising 11 Senior Citizens; Clubs of the surrounding.com munity. This Cs the first time a rally has been held in Goderich. Each one attending brings a Qvn .lunch: Registration starts at 9:30 in the morning: Tea, and coffee will be served on arrival and at noon.
