"Maybe .today," I mused as I
pulled it overmyhead.
I't didn't ge-t much further.
Looking in the mirror it was
hard to know whether to cry
or laugh. The Seams of my
lovely ' dress° were literally
bursting, I couldn't even
begin td get the zipper up!
The' thought came into My
head; "You can't •pit new

'Slatted to chuckle, "Right,
'nand you can't squeeze an old
-•fat bodyiinto a dress meant
for a young slim mile)" I.
pulled it off arid let it fall into
the btsx, - - •
The rest of the closet
cleaning went like a breeze.
"Here's an old skin bottle;"
I'd say, as T viewed some
wretched thin& no one had
worn for years and added it to
the heap of discards...
Then; I'd. come upon
re erved by - 'past
generations. They :- tend to
lump all the tr.aditions.-
together, .denouncing them as.
outworn; lifeless, old bottles
fit only for • the •trash heap.
They . are endangered to
losing a' • great deal of,
priceless, and mellowed old
wine which' might still ,be
invaluable to them. -
So, just as one must decide
what to k.eep, what to throw.
out, and what new to .put .in,
when one goes about clearing
the front hall closet, -so it is a
wise personwho knows to
discard the old wine' skims,
who thankfully retains all
that is enriching -of the good
old,; ,and .who just as thank,'
fully accepts the new wine.
