'Tonight;wemeet under the
most • delightful cir
cumstances, tinged perhaps
with. atouch of sadness. The
thought of lea -Writ -St. Mary's,
:the'schooi which gave us so
much, saddens us, but I know,
my fellow•graduates:and„l are•
excited : at .the.. thought
..•j know, we wi11-be'•leaving
' St. Mary's with pride, for we
feel .a —pari • of its many
•
achievements, .:such • as
basketball • championships
: cross-country, soccer,
football and public_ speaking,
to riame•only a few.':
But these achievements are
'short term; what I. have to
say next will reflect on some
of .My more lasting im-
pressions of St. Mary's.. •
Nine short ,-years •ago, we
started schogl as little runny
• nosed, dirty kneed •kids who
` missed their' • mommies but
atte-nd.lags dhoo1..
Looking, back,' I can
remember , many -thing -s-;
worth_ • al -inking about now,
' . andthat will remind us about
Wonderful school years,
r_s from now .
One -thing I will never
forget' is when .two .of . our
-teachers, Sister Qoreen-'and'
Sistar Barbara, Were making
• -plans • to leave • us, but their
plans' -did not include a couple
of their .formdr pupils hiding
in' theR't-of-the Sister's
car. But as it turned out, the_
pupils probablylept in.
reallyenjoyed kindergarten.
We needed help to dress, help,
• ttrwrite, help to learn. •
• •
But now, 'in 19.'76;' we have
grown bigger, physically' as
well as mentally, .yet we are
still a."bit -apprehensive about`
high school: We; will miss..
• friendships" from,, St. Mary's•, ,
. but rriake_new friends: n high
school. • • '
We will need helpto choose
careers as well as help to__.
learn new -and bigger things
and that Will never. change.
We are very grateful' -to our

I feel that all five -year-olds

lot going for.. them•. They will
he changed too because of all

•When I reflect on all these
