retarded men and, women living and working in• Huron

of social and living problems - from finding employment to
budgeting their income to discovering congenial places to
spend their spare time.
During the course of her work, the Adult Protective Ser -
/ice , Worker has 'found a genuine lack of good. housing --
available to meet'the special needs of the adult retarded in
the community. Many of 'them require only a room or
apartment in setting where people'will 'not exploit ,et
mistreat them. Others need the security of room and board
with closer attention to the •details of their adjustment. to
community "life. All share 'a; need.. for the concern, .con -
'sideration, and patience of. those with whom they live.
Financing a'rrangernents will be worked out on an individual
basis. The Adult Protective Services Worker•will provide the
counselling, back-up, and advice necessary to make these
