specialized knowledge needed by
jewellers. GIAgem authorities review,

The first and foremost activity of the
institute is.training in the identification,
grading and appraising of gemstones.
Successful completion of the
DIANIOND-COURSE,=with its 'diamond
grading and appraising: practice and
written examination, leads to the GIA
DIAMOND CERTIFICATE. The
prere.quis•ites for the COLORED
STONE CERTIFICATE are completion
of the COLORED STONE COURSE,
with itswritten examination, and the
-GEM IDENTIFICATION COURSE,

pass.

2500, are to be•found in many countries
