guard Pam Fritzley replaced Robinson in
the third quarter and part of the fourth
playing a tremendous game defensively
making great passes on offence.
As the Vikings got their ride on the fire
truck they knew that it was because of the
team! No individual player was totally
responsible, as was shown by the overall
team scoring. In the three final games the
total points by Jennifer Allen was 34, by
Katharine Murphy 33 and Mary Katherine
Stapleton 30. A balanced scoring attack.
At their recognition assembly in the
G.D.C.I. gym on Friday Viking coach Phil
Bugler called his team the "most
together" team that he had ever coached.
He commended them for their hard work
and commitment to basketball.
The members of this years Huron -Perth
championship team as follows Shelley
Adams, a hard worker who helped the
team effort; Sheila Namink, a player with
great potential next year; Mary Jo Evans,
a good team player and shooter; Krista
Collinson, a great defensive player with a
future; Maureen Stapleton, a "super sub"
whose hustle and enthusiasm makes good
things happen; Pam Fritzley, the "sixth.
man" who made a real contribution to the
team; Rhonda Teal, a first year starter
who plays tough and works hard under the
basket; Erin Robinson, the team's most
improved player who played the toughest

Stapleton, the team's most dominating
player that most teams concentrated their
efforts against; Jenny Allen, the team's
best scorer with great all round play on of-
fence and defence and finally Katharine
Murphy, the team's floor leader who
sacrificed her scoring of the past to control
