My name is Corey Duncan and I will be
one -year-old on Halloween. I am going to
have a party with all my friends and
relatives on Nov. 1 because Halloween is so
busy. I sure am looking forward to my first
tricks and treats with my big brother Ryan.
Look out Mom and Dad!!! !!
Love,
Corey
P.S. Look forward to seeing you next year.
Hugs and kisses.
If it's your dog you are
responsible to clean up the mess
Dear Advisor:
I really have a problem with my dog. He
does his duties on the floor and my Dad
sometimes makes me clean it up. One of my
friends stepped in fresh stuff. Now is that a
Problem?
Your Friend,
Sarah
Dear Sarah:
It's your dog — so •it's your responsibility
to clean it up. Correct your dog by bringing
his nose down beside the stufL slap him
glently and tell him he is bad. When no one's
home put him in one room and check it when
you get home. Let him outside more often.
******
Dear Advisor:
I have a problem with my sister. She has
two gerbles. She always plays with them in
her room and makes a lot of noise and I
don't like it. What should I do?
David
Dear David: •
Ask her to be a little quieter, but
remember it's her room.
Dear Colleen:
There's two girls at school I want to like
me. Everyone thinks they're snobby.

They think I'm dumb and hate me. When I

Dear Aggie:
Do you really like those girls? You may,
but you'll have a tough time. Is it worth it?

Unicef goal is $2 million
Fall is traditionally the time of year to
support UNICEF (The United Nations
Children's Fund), and between now and
year end a goal of $2 Million has been set
by UNICEF Ontario Volunteers.
On Hallowe'en thousands of children
carrying UNICEF boxes door to door will
request donations to help the children of
the Third World. Retailers across the Pro-
vince are assisting in this campaign by
having counter collection boxes and these
can be found at Printing House outlets,
Lansing Buildall Centres, IDA, Boots,
Guardian and Shoppers Drug Mart stores.
Over 200 retail outlets will be open
across the Province during November did
December to raise further funds by selling
greeting cards and gifts. Each purchase
contributes to a better; future for the
children.
"Every cent of the $2 million goal will be
raised by our volunteers and supporters,"
said Elizabeth Haig, volunteer Chairman
of UNICEF Ontario, "And these funds will
be matched by the Federal • Government
through CIDA, making our end goal really
$4 million,"
"UNICEF doesn't receive funds from
the United Way which strictly supports
local organizations," Miss Haig continued,
"Funds contributed to UNICEF are used
to support development projects in over 30
countries to provide clean water, sanitaJ
• tion, improved nutrition, immunization,
education and health care. It only takes $5
to save the life of one child, and worldwide
we are trying to save 900 million of the
neediest children."
"The generosity of the people of Ontario
whether it's a young child with a collection
box, a householder with their coins ready,
a shopper selecting UNICEF cards and
gifts, or a UNICEF volunteer working obi a
special event are all acts of giving that
have for over 40 years helped to make the
world a better place for everyone," Miss
Haig summed up, "But each year we must
come back and ask for donation oftime,
talents, and funds. We need more
volunteers in every area of the Province
and we need them now. If you can help
please call 416-487-4153. "
