A ladies fashion shop opened yesterday 'in Goderich. Natalie's, located at 44 East Street
(across, from the Post Office), is owned and operated by Goderich area resident' Mrs. Pat
Steenstra. Named after five-year-old daughter Natalie., the store caters to petite, regular
and full sizes. Visiting the store prior to Tuesday's opening was Mayor Eileen Palmer who
was shown one of the many dresses the store has in stock by Mrs. Pat Steenstra. The store,
which is holding it's grand opening this Thursday through Saturday; will be open Monday
through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday evenings until 9 p.m. (photo by

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Grant
Johnston, nee Audrey Phillips, who were
married on Friday evening, August 28th in
Dungannon United Church. Grant is the
son of Jean Johnston and Audrey is the
daughter. of Bill and Irma Phillips.
Congratulation's to Tom and Deloris
Culbert on the occasion of their first an-
niversary . on Augustj25th, to Elmer and
Aileen Tronvner on their 43rd anniversary
on August 17th, and to Graham and Bessie
McNee on their golden wedding anniver-
sary on August 28th. An open house was,
held on Sunday at Nile United Church for
this well known couple and many people'
attended.
There were 12 tables of euchre at the
Seniors Centre on Wednesday evening.
High man was Art Stewart and low man
was Thys Groen. High lady was Louise
Brindley and low lady, Gloria Pearson'.
°Happy birthday was sung and cake cut for
the following people: Gertrude Park and
Gord Schultz, August 3rd, Ted Bowers,
August 6th, Marie Park, August 11, Isabel

radio coverage of the unrest in the
Phillipines, because her daughter Jane isa
school teacher there • in Manila. Jane
reported in a telephone conversation to her
sister Joanne of Burke, Virginia, that
despite all the bombing and firing outside
the compound where she lives, she feels
safe as they are right beside a U.S.
military base and would be the first
evacuated if the need arises..
Gertrude Park enjoyed a Sunday visit
with her daughter Verna and her husband
Tom Hallam in Auburn.
Marie Park, her daughter and son-in-law
and Vicki and Ted Henry of Goderich
motored to Peterborough on Sunday with
Todd Park. Todd will be attending Sir San-
ford Fleming College there this term in the
Law and Security course.
