Secondary school students have
opportunity to live abroad
Canadian secondary school students now
have a unique opportunity to discover a
new,country while continuing their educa-
tion thanks to the exchange program of In-
terculture Canada.
Interculture Canada, a leading interna-
tional exchange' organization, offers
youths between 15 and 18 years of age the
chance to study in more than 30 countries
around the world. There are departures in
summer . or in winter depending on the
country chosen. The program lasts 11 to 12
months.
"It's an unforgettable experience", said
one participant who is back from a year in
France. "I had a terrific time with my host
family and made a lot of new friends. I
discovered France and its culture by living
with its people. Now I also speak French
fluently".
In addition to the intercultural learning,
the exchange program of Interculture
Canada encourages the personal growth
and development of teenagers. "My
daughter has returned home with more
self-confidence and radiant with hap-
piness. She shows more openness, flexibili-
ty and responsibility" says the mother of a
