46. In Memoriam
LAVERTY
In memory of Arthur Laverty; February 24, 1897 -
August 14, 1980.
This man - a sage philosopher - displayed his
wisdom well;
He'd sit for hours, pipe in, hand,, and to his.
listeners tell
Of social deeds and Herculean tourneys he had
fought.
Of course, some witty tales of mirth and poetry
were taught.
His eyes had been so much of life yet never lost
their twinkle.
His face was tanned and smooth — he wouldn't
tolerate a wrinkle!
His spirit was vivacious and^ his heart so
optimistic. •
With'his feet on "terra firma" — he had no love
for mystics -
His life four score and three - was good and full,
though often tough.
But even in his eighties he could say, "It's not
enough!"
He was to all who loved him a constant
inspiration.
Forever he will be to us a source of'admiration.
—D- McLellan
A toast to Arthur Laverty!! Deeply loved, fondly
remembered and sadly missed by his family. -32
HILL
In loving memory of our daughter and sister,
TRACY JANE HILL, who died one year ago,
August 16, 1986.
A happy home we once enjoyed,
How sweet the memory still,
But death has left a loneliness,
The world can never fill.
Our hearts still ache with sadness,
And secret tears still flow,
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.
When we're sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
Cheer up and carry on.
Each time we look at your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
Don't cry I'm only steeping,
We'll meet again some day.
Even though you are not with us,
We're never far apart,
Because of the love you gave us,
You are always in our hearts.
To know we never said goodbye,
Will always bring regret,
But the hearts that loved you dearly,
Are the hearts that won't forget.
A thousand times we've needed you,
A thousand times we've cried,
If our love could have saved you, Tracy,
You never would have died.
Dearly loved and sadly missed by her family -
Tom, Nancy, Lori, Allan. -32x
HILL
In memory of a dear friend, Tracy Hill, who pass-
ed away August 16, 1986.
To me her name will ever be,
The key that unlocks memory,
Of one gone, but remembered yet,
A very good friend, I'll never forget.
Sadly missed and remember by her friend,
Loree.-32
