Dungannon Agricultural Society is active with fundraising jobs Each week in this column, r have featured local volunteer groups and their events. I feel that `local' includes the sur- rounding communities, and this week I have the opportunity to focus on a rural group in a village setting. The Dungannon Agricultural Society has been in existance since 1858. Presently it operates with 12 directors and a secretary - treasurer, and a membership in the area of 120 families. They own and maintain their hall, they organize many fundraisers during the course of the year. During the winter months they arrange about six very successful Euchre- Tournaments, hold two annual dances at Halloween and New Years', and in the summer they have organized and sponsored the Family Fun Day and the Dungannon. Fair.:—u ¢ Last weekend, the >± amify'ruziyDay took place and was the kick off and main fun- • draiser for the Dungannon Fair.
