Sponsor of ch pionship team
dies in hospital

Ivan Louzon
Ivan Louzon, of R.R. 5 Goderich died in
London University Hospital on July 26. He
was 77 years old.
Mr. Louzon was born on May 18, 1910.,in
Chatham to the late David and Margaret
(Inches) Louzon.
Mr. Louzon retired as a fruit market
owner and for the past ten years he has
worked at the Bedford Hotel in Goderich.
He is survived by his wife Monica (Pa-
quette) Louzon and his daughter Gale
),ouzon of Neustadt and son Gordon
Louzon of Stratford. He is also survived by
his five gi andchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
Mr. 1 •ouzon was a member of the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 109, Goderich,
but he is best remembered as the sponsor
of the famed Louzon Flyers. In 1947 the
Flyers capped an unforgettable,
undefeated season to win the•OHA Junior C
championship for Goderich. A player on
the team, Jim Hayter Sr., described Mr.
Louzon as the best sportsman to come out
of Goderich and he th•eated the team like
'professionals.
A funeral mass was held at St. Peter's
Church with Rev. T.R. McNamara of-
ficiating on Tuesday, July 28 and prayers
were held on Monday evening.
Pallbearers were Rod LaFontaine,
Bruno LaPaine, Jim Hayter, Jim Bisset,
Bert Worsell and Don Sager.
ELMER ALEXANDER DRAPED

• passed away Thursday July 23, 1987 at
' Alexandra Marine and General Hospital
Goderich; .at the age of 68. Born in
Goderich March 3, 1919 he the son of the
• late William and Teresa( Young) Draper.
OBITUARIES
He was predeceased by his wife Ruby
Kathleen ( Wilder)in 1970; whom he mar-
ried in April of 1949 in Stratford.
He is survived by his son Brian and his
wife Judy and two grandchildern Billy and
Debbie of Port Albert. Also survived by
two brothers Elton of Port Albert and
Leroy of Goderich.
A retired maintenance worker for
Champion, he was a member of Christ
Anglican Church, Port Albert, Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 109 Goderich and
the Quarter Century Club Champion Road
Machinery.
The Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies
Auxilliary to Branch 109 held a memorial
service Friday, July 24.
Funeral service was held at McCallum
and Pella Funeral Home, July 26,1987 with
Anglican Church, Minister Rev. Douglas
Pitts officiating.
Pallbearers were Wayne Draper, Jim
Hayden, Bill Hayden, Elwin Petrie, Frank
Doherty, Arnold Meader. Flower bearers
were Ken Vandenburgh and Peter Marks.
Interment was at Christ Church
Cemetery, Port 'Albert.
ELLWOOD LAWRENCE MURRAY
Ellwood Lawrence Murray passed away
at his home July 19,198The in his -68t -.
year.
He was born August 6, 1919 in Port
Albert to the late Walker Murray of
Goderich and Bertha (Brown), Bayfield.
He was predeceased- by his wife Stella (nee
McNenly ).
He was a maintenance worker for Tip
Top Tailors and a member of the Anglican
Church.
He is survived by one brother Arthur of
Sardis, B. C. and three sisters; Ruth(Mrs.
Wm. Taman) of Huronview, Norma ( Mrs.
Joseph Lukomski) of Jerome Michigan,
and Rose Bowler( Mrs. John Austin) of
Kingsbridge.
He was predeceased by four sisters;
Reta Scrimgeour, Pamela Stevenson, Ed-
na McCabe and Vesta Catlin and one
brother Benson Murray.
Funeral service was held at the McCallum
and Palla Funeral home on Wednesday,
July 22, 1987 at with Anglican Church Rev.
Douglas Pitts officiating: •
Pallbearers were James Bowler, Art
Bowler, John Joe Bowler, Dean Bowler,
Murray Bowler, and Elwood Bowler.
Interment folowed at Christ Church
Cemetery, Port Albert.
GRACE ANN NENETH
Grace Ann Neneth died at the Brant-
ford General Hospital on Thursday, July
23.
She is survived by her husband William
Neneth, daughter Kathy and her busband
Bill Thorton, Mississauga, daughter Patty
and her husband Jim Walters; Oakville;
daughter Teresa and sons Frank and
Steven at home.
Mrs. Neneth was the dauhter of Mary
and the late Donald Johnston, Brantford
..arid sister of J1r Johnston;: of -Toronto.
Funeral services were held at The
Thorpe Brothers Funeral Horne, Brant-
ford on Sunday, July 26. Interment at
Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford.
B.C. residents visit grandparents in Lucknow
Visiting with Finlay and Margie Mac-,
Donald for some of their summer vacation
are two of their grandchildren, Thomas
and Nickie MacDonald of Fort Nelson,
B.C.. Joining them are children Tom and
Gloria.
Visiting recently with Clarence and
Eleda Irwin was Mrs. Betty Stanley of
Clinton, their son Grant and Eleda's
brother and sister-in-law Eldon and Mary
Stanley of Grand Bend. Also joinging the
group were Lloyd and Audrey Henderson
of Sarnia who were visiting with many of
the friends and relatives in the area over
the weekend.
Kae Webster had her two sisters-in-law,
Mrs. Winifred' Gammie of Lucknow and
Mrs. Myrtle Fells of Whitby visit with her
recently. .
Jim and Cecile Webster camped at Point
Farms Park on the weekend along with -
some friends from Waterloo. The couples
really enjoyed themselves and even had
some luck at fishings They also had a
chance to visit the Huron County Museum
in Goderich and, of course, Jim and Cecil
took thetime to stop 'and see their mother

Wednesday where she visited . with heir
parents Maurice and Mabel Hunter. On the
weekend Ron and Linda Lee Kilgour and
their family of London were here for a nice
chat with Betty and her husband Barry.
On Tuesday of last week, Mrs Gordon
Robb visited with her daughter and son-in-
law Sandra and Bob Darling and their
family in Chesley.
Shelly, Lindsay and Karen rrwin,
daughters of William and Shirley Irwin,
were overnight visitors at the home of
their grandparents 'Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Robb.
Fulton to visit Huron
Ontario's Minister of Transportation and
Communications, Ed Fulton, will visit
Huron County on August 5, Jack Riddell
MPP for Huron- Middlesex announced.
Mr.. Fulton will tour parts of Highways 4
and 8 and meet with local and county
municipal officials in Blyth at 4 p.m.
