W.M.S. The July meeting of the Presbyterian W.M.S was held at the home of Mrs. Hazel Craig. President Mrs. Martha Daer welcomed the members and three guests present. She opened the meeting with a poem. The devotional was taken by Mrs. Viola Rathby. The Scripture portion was from St. Luke Chapter 15 verses 11-32. The meditation was on "The Prodigal Son," followed by prayer. 111Vs. Frances Clark was in charge of the stuffy and read about "That Old Time Religion" today. The next meeting will be, at the home of Martha Daer August 18th at 8 pm. KNOX UNITED CHURCH SERVICE Rev. Pickell of Goderich conducted the morning sei;vice at Knox United Church with Lori Milliarl as organist. The minister gave the call to worship followed by prayer. Hymn "b Worship the King" was sung. The Word of God was given. A chosen hymn, "Onward Christian Soldiers" was sung followed ' by Prayer and the Lord's Prayer. Offering was received bylBi11 Seers and Peter Verbeck. Hymn "This is illy Father's- World" was sting. Rev. Pickell chose for his sermon "'Steadfastness and Change." "Breathe on Me, Breath of God" was sung. Rev. Pickell pronounced the Benediction and Service closed with the Three Fold Amen's. Sheardown reunion held Sunday, July 12th, 1987 approximately 150 adults and children gathered .at the Goderich Township Community Centre, Holllriesville to celebrate the second Bi - Annual Reunion of the descendants of John, E'hner, Samuel, Wrendall, George, Mary, Elizabeth, Teenie, Ada and Hattie Sheardown.' Many who attended the first reunion were -unable to attend; but the number of younger members present displayed much interest meeting new "cousins" from Winnipeg, Manitoba: Ailsa Craig: Bayfield, Exeter, Gloderich, Grand Bend, Holmesville; Kit- ckiener,London, Parkhill, Rexdale, St. fry's, Sombra, Stratford, Putnam and Windsor, Ontrio. The winners in the children's games were presented with ribbons commemorating the. "Sheardown Reunion 1987."
