Grade 8- graduation is one of the many milestones that we will encounter throughout our lifetimes. To get where we are today has meant a lot of hard work on . all parts. But, along with the work, have been good times with our teachers and friends like concerts, trips, and parties. This has often meant evenmore work for the teachers. As Whitney Houston's first hit -says: "I believe the Children are our future, Teach them well and let them lead the way, shoe them all the beauty they possess inside, give them a sense of pride to make it easier". I believe this is what our teaely-rs from Robertson and Victoria schools have tried to develop in us over the past nine years. They have taught us not only the basics of education, but also to think for ourselves and feel good about ourselves. It is up to us to take these skills and use them as we further our education. It is now that we realize the value of our friendships with our peers. After nearly - nine years together, we. have learned to respect and care for each other. Going to high school mightmean going in -separate` directions. We discover and nurture our talents and abilities to make us the best we can possibly be. We have the ability to shape our future. . We can be whatever we want to be if we are hard-working and determined. We have had great role models in our teachers throughout our school career. Look how lucky we've, been this year! We've had Mr. Herman, Miss Broadwell, Mrs. Dyck, Mr. Bogie; Mr. Matthies, Mr. Spittal, Mrs. Crocker; 1r. Reid, Mrs. Bruinsma, Mrs. Steigm, ier and Mrs. - Smith, all, who have done their best to prepare us for high school. How they sur- vived us, I do not know! But we must give them credit for influencing the- develop- ment of our personalities .and characters. You know, it's awfully good of them to take the blame. Our last year has been fun. We have had new teachers, new goals and new expecta- tions. We are also looking forward to a good year r at our new school, Goderich Turn to page 5 - "ALL THE REST IN THE FUTURE GRADS!"
