G.L. Royal was feted Friday evening at Know Presbyterian'Church. Following a dinner, a special service was held to mark his retirement after 36 years of ministering (27 years in Goderich alone). On hand at the celebration was Jack Riddell, MPP, who presented Rev. Royal with a scroll and plaque from the Province of Ontario com- memorating his years of dedicated service to the church and the community. Rev. Royal retires from active ministry June 30, 1987. He and his wife, Audrey, will be moving to Guelph in the near future. Farmer machinest dies JOSEPH CHARLES WILSON Joseph Charles Wilson of Huronview, died Monday, June 22 at Huronview at the age of 66. - Born in Goderich on January 8, 1921, he was the son of the late Robert Wilson and the former Ada Sproul. He was a retired'•machinist at Champion Road Machinery Ltd. and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 109, Goderich: , Surviving are his wife Irene Eunice and children Carol Walters and her husband Leonard of Stratford; Bob and his wife Gayle of RR2 Clinton ; and Mike and his wife Nancy of Goderich. Also surviving are brothers and sisters Mildred ,( Mrs. ' Don MacKay) of Goderich, Mary ",(Mrs. Dick Campbell) of London; Jean (Mrs. Fred Anderson) of Clinton and • Robert Wilson of Colborne Township. Ada Craddock, of Huronview and formerly of Goderich, died itt Huronview on June 26. She was 95 years old. • Mrs. Craddock. vas born on January 28, 1892 in Colborne Township to the late William and Liza (Jewell) Allin. On April 26, 1911, she married John Craddock in the Benmiller United Church. Following their marriage, they spent the next nine years living in Colborne Township and Belleville. In 1920 they , moved back to Goderich Township, purchasing a. farm where C&E,- Furntipre now is. They farmed there -until they moved to Goderich where they lived unitl Mr. Craddocks death in 1971. Tri 1972, she moved to Huronview where she has been a resident up until the time of her death, A member of Victoria Street United Church, Goderich, Mrs. Craddock is sur- vived by two daughters, Valier and her husband James Mair of Clinton and Sylvia and her husband William Fulford of Kit- chener. She is also survived by. six grand- children and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Craddock was predeceased by one daughter, Mrs. Francis . (Lena) Leveck, one son, Everett Craddock, two grand- children, four sisters and one brother. A funeral service was held on June 29 at Ball and Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton, with Rev. John D.M. Wood from Victoria Street United Church, Goderich, ?officiating. Flower' hearers were grandsons Wayne Fulford and Douglas Mair. He was a veteran of WW II and did post war service. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 213, and of the Westmount Army and Navy Club. Born in Holland Township, Grey County, on August 12, 1920, he was the eldest son of the late James Samson Culp and the former Elizabeth Cassidy. Surviving are his wife' Shirley and children Shirley, Sandra, James, Patricia and Gerald,. grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Marilyn (Mrs. Carlyle Bannister) of Goderich and brother Russell Walter (Bob) Culp of London, On- tario. He was predeceased by sisters Mar- • jorie; Evelyn and Marie. James Joseph Gilmore On Sunday, June 21 James 'Joseph Gilmore passed away at - age 69 at the Wingham and District Hospital. He spent his life farming in Ashfield Township and was an active member of the St. Josephs Church at Kingsbridge: Jarhes Joseph Gilmore was born in Ashfield Township in the County of Huron on April 28, 1918. to Robert and Theresa Gilmore and was married to Irene Milne, fos merly of London, on December 6, 1968. The couple had no children. He is survived by brothers Edward of Calgary and Gerald of London and by sisters Frances of London, Margaret of ,Alexandria V.A., Helen of Dunnville as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Della Kretz, 1980, and Arthur, 1986. Funeral services were held from the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home in Luckrtbw with an lla,m. mass held at the . St. Josephs Catholie Church in Kingsbridge-' Funeral mass was celebrated by Father Paul Milne and assisted by Father Ed Dentinger.
