Strathroy rips
Bantams 9-3
The Goderich Elevator Bantams met
their toughest opposition to date last Satur-
day and dropped a 9-3 decision to Strathroy
in the Goderich Arena.
In the opening frame, Strathroy got un-
tracked and opened a 2-0 lead. In the se-
cond period, Goderich's Greg Alcock
scored at the 7:40 mark but Strathroy
came back with two of their own before
George Sideris countered for Goderich.
Strathroy then added two shorthanded
goals before a goal by Chris O'Neill
brought the period to a close with the
locals behind 6-3.
The third period was all Strathroy, who
added three more goals. The home team
can chalk this game up as a learning ex-
perience of how positional play, fast
skating and good defence are the key in-
gredients in any victory.
