Thompson CLERK TOWNSHIP OF GOOERICH Goderich resident les at age 91 OLIVE AMELIA PROCTER Olive Amelia, Procter of Maitland Manor died Saturday, November 29 at the age of 91. Born in Kingston on May 30, 1895, she was the daughter of Stephen Goodell and the former Priscilla Cornell. She married the late Richard Clayton Procter in Ottawa in 1916. Mrs. Procter was a member of North Street United Church. Surviving areeone son Grant of Goderich and one daughter Grace (Mrs. J.M. Sutherland) of Ottawa. Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred and Elsie, and one brother, Stephen. The funeral service was held at the Mc- Callum and Palla Funeral Home on Tues- day, December 2 with Bev. Robert O. Ball of North Street United Church officiating. In- terment was in Maitland Cemetery. HUGH THOMAS GALBRAITH Mr Hugh Thomas Galbraith of Goderich Township and Talmo ac, 1' iurida ,Bed Humana Cypress Hospital in Pompano Beach, Florida on Saturday, November 29 at the age of 85. Born in London, Ontario, on May 7, 1901, he was the son of Archie Galbraith and the former Kate May. Mr. Galbraith worked as a cashier for 44 years with the Detroit News. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and an adherent of Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich. He was also a 60 -yea; member with the Composite Masonic Lodge in Detroit. Surviving are his wife, the former Sybil Cook; and two sons, Gordon of Detroit and Bruce of Interlochen, Michigan. Also sur- viving are one sister, Mrs. Gardner (Jean) Gammage of London and two brothers, George of London and James of Hollywood, California. He was predeceased by one son, Hugh. December 2 at The A. Milliard George Funeral Home in London with interment following in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. ROBERT HOGG Robert Hogg, 83, formerly of Seaforth, died Wednesday, November 26 at the Alex- andra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich. Born in Seaforth on August 11, 1903, he was a son of the late Joe Hogg and the former Matilda Storey. His wife, the former Jean Holland, died in 1936. Surviving are two sons, Ken of Trenton, and Clayton of Northern Ontario; one daughter, Mrs. Don ( Doreen) Brightrall of Seaforth niece and neuilex;, Wally and Rpt. ty Hogg; and, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Adrian,' James and Joseph. Friends were received at the Whitney- Ribey Funeral Home in Seaforth and a ser- vice was held Friday, November 28. Inter- ment was in Maitlandbank Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter McClure, Harvey McClure, Orville Storey, Charlie Storey, Paul Nicholson and Bill Holland. HARRY JACKSON A.H. "Harry" Jackson, of 11 North Street in Wingham, died at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, November 21, in his 74th year. Mr. Jackson was a driver with Charter - ways Bus Lines on the London to Hanover route before retiring in 1976. He was born in Morris Township on March 25, 1913, a son of the late Albert H. Jackson and Margaret Craig. Surviving are his wife, the former Ruby Young; one daughter, Dianne and her hus- band Garth Walden of RR 3 Blyth; one son, Arthur and his wife Celia Jackson of Toron- to; four grandchildren, Christa, Tim and Jillian Walden and Sarah Jackson; and, one sister, Mrs. Archie (Edna) Montgomery of Blyth. He was predeceased by one sister, Frances Montgomery. Morrice, of 201 Westfield Dr. in died Thursday,November 27 at the age of did at his residence on Thursday, 89 - JAMES JAMES ANDREW CUMMINGS James Andrew ( Andy) Cummings of Goderich died at St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday, November 24 at the age of 72. Born in Lakefield on March 12, 1914, he was a son of the late James Hugh Cummings and the former Lilian Isobel Andrews. He married the former Shirley Myrtle Tilton Dickson of Waterloo in 1943. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and a members of Maitland Lodge 33 A.F. & A.M. Surviving besides his wife are one son, Dickson Cummings and his wife Donna of Goderich; three daughters, Sybil Rudyk of Goderich, Phyllis and her husband Len Budd of Guelph, and Jocelyn and her hus- band Bill Bowers of Walkerton; one brother, William Cummings of Lake Wales in Florida; and seven grandchildren,. Stacey Cummings, Jessica Rudyk,. Leah and Stephanie Budd, and Andres, Lindsay .and Adam Bowers. The funeral service was held on Thurs- day, November 27 at the McCallum and Palla Funeral Home with Rev. G.L. Royal of Knox Presbyterian Church officiating. Maitland Lodge held a memorial service on Wednesday evening, November 26. Pallbearers were Jitn Remington, Bob Straughan, Len Jenkins, Harold Jeffery, Charlie Adams and George Ross. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn S: (Millian) Treble; two sons, Gerald of Lon- don and Gary of Regina; one brother, Albert of Vancouver Island; two sisters, Violet Holm of Vancouver and Alice Harrower of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and, five grand- children, Scott, Mark and Gregary of Regina and Andrew and Adam of London.
