The Goderich Recreation Department was established about 15 years ago with the
goal in mind to meet the recreation and leisure needs of the community. During
this decade and a half, needs have changed greatly but the goal is the same.
That is, to assure that every individual has adequate opportunity to engage
in and enjoy satisfying and constructive use'of their recreation time and leisure.
The Recreation Department offers a number of services to the citizens of Goderich.
The Department will assist groups and individuals in fulfilling their recreation
needs and interests. The Recreation Staff are pleased to assist in fundraising
and in the development of new programs. Volunteer training for community group
members and assistance to volunteer executives of organizations is another. area
that the Department Staff can work together with you to achieve a comprehensive
recreational service for thecommunity.
The Recreation Department wants to meet the financial needs of all citizens of
Goderich. If finances for programs are a problem, please consult one of our staff.
