Pledge sheets for the runare available
at all elementary and secondary schools,
all Becker's and Mac's Milk convenience
stores, Kirkey's Car Care, Canada Post
and all chartered banks.
While it has been customary practice for
participants to gather pledges on a per km.
basis, organizers say participants may
simply make a donation at the registration
desk. The'operative word is participation
and everyone is encouraged to bring a
friend or bring the whole family to help
raise funds for cancer research.
►iedge' sheets' will also be ' made
available at the registration desk for peo-
ple who missed obtaining one. All dona-
tions and pledges can be turned in to any
chartered bank after the event.
Last year more than 75 people of all ages
participated in the one -day event, raising
over $1,600 for cancer research. In the past
,two years, Goderich residents have raised
almost $3,600 in the event:
About $40 million has been raised in
Canada since the Terry Fox Run began in
September 1981. Tens of thousands of
Canadians have become in the annual
event.
So come on out and join the Terry ,Fox
Run for Cancer this Sunday. Your effort
and contribution could 'make all the dif-
ference to a cancer victim.
