The time has just- nowt; since last Mon-
day. I have been trying to see all - or some of
the changes in the area - it is unbelievable -
it is wonderful and I'm happy to see the
change.
I was fortunate to have a spot at Suncoast
Mall to show some of my paintings - and the
changes that have been made with people
moving within the mall was a nice surprise.
We are lucky to have a lovely Mayor and a
good council who are thinking ahead for us.
What do most of us know about business or
real estate? The Square has really shaped
up beautifully - and I hope the hanging
baskets for The Square are there again -
they really add to making "The Prettiest
Town—".
The building of homes and business is
shaping up so fast, that even I know that
Goderich in finally on the move. When we
get to 14 or 15 thousand people we can stop
' and enjoy our little city.
The stores opposite the Suncoast are all
filled up and doing a good business. Then
our fast food places are real busy — where
' and when did all the new people come here?
The real estate business is or has boomed -
well, there are still building spots to be had
but hard to find.
I enjoyed a recent story in the Signal -Star
on our Donald Bert and his boats - ("Little
Toot" has been lost in the shuffle) TheBert
MacDonald grandchildren and greats - are
keeping the harbor in safe hands.
It strikes me as I see more and more
around the town that the now generation are
looking up and seeing the struggle their
grandparents have had and they are going
to make us proud of thgir generation.
Everyone is finally realizing we have to
look out for each other and with our police
force we can fight drugs and other crime.
There is such a lot of trouble in overseas
Countries that it makes one realize we must
all work together. Overseas are growing
and changing - and I think they resent out-
siders trying to change their world.
We have to show them a good example - or
get off their tails and let them go back to
their old ways. In the meantifne we can iust
pray for help overseas - and in our own
North America. How did I get on that
theme!vay let us take another look at what a
few people are trying to do for our own way
of life and give them some help.
The children need more help from Gram
and Grampas - so remember you are still
needed and you need the youngsters too.
Believe it or not.
Love Martha.
