The Sunday school children went to their classes after Rev, Bechtel spoke to them. The service was well attended. Enterprising Seniors The Enterprising Seniors met in the com- munity centre with Bert McCreath in the chair. Roll call was taken by Charlotte Norman. Minutes were read from the last meeting and Frank Yeo gave the,treasurers report. Blanche Deeves gave the card report and read a thank you from Lil Tenant. A discus- sion was held on capital punishment. Mary Sterling gave a reading and Bert McCreath giving a recitation. Everyone enjoyed euchre and shuffleboard followed by a social time en- joyed over lunch. The former manager of the Goderich Community Credit Union from 1954 -,1974, he previously worked for Champion Road Machinery where he was co-founder and secretary of the machinists Union Local 1863 I.A.M. at Champion, then known as Dominion Road Machinery Co. Born in Czechoslovakia on October 13, 1918, he was a son of Mary Helen Horka of Maitland Manor and the late Frank Helesic. He is 'survived by his wife, the former Donalda Jones of Dungannon, whom he married on December 30, 1939 in Clinton. Two children, Robert of Kincardine and Michael of Vancouver, B.C., four grand- children, and four brothers, Gerald of Czechoslovakia, Mark of Willowdale, Jim of Brampton and William of Goderich also sur- vive. A private family service was conducted from the Stiles Funeral Home, Goderich on Monday, Apri1,21, 1986 at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. G.L. Royal of Knox Presbyterian Church.. Cremation followed. Formerly employed on the housekeeping staff at the Goderich Psychiatric Hospital, she was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph. Born in Wiarton, she was a daughter of the -1ate"lgiiatius Taylor and the former Mar- jorie Copegog. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Huffman and two daughters, Veronica and, Andrew Sturgeon of R. 3, Bayfield and Crystal and"Jim Taylor of R. 1, Auburn•and four grandchildren, Sally and Kira Sturgeon and Jamie and Ashley Taylor. ROBERT ALEXANDER MCCOSH Dr. Robert' Alexander McCosh, 86, of the Maitland Manor Nursing Home in Goderich, died at his residence on Friday, Apr. 11,, 1986. Born near Ripley, he attended schools in Lurgon, Ripley • and Kincardine. After graduating in medicine from the University of Toronto, he began practising in Conn, Ont. From there, he went to Indiana, Ohio and Richwood, West Virginia. In 1932, he returned to Canada to practise briefly in Ripley and from there to Kincar- dine where he retired in 1962. He was predeceased by his wife Nora Gomrn in 1982 and by one son Kenneth in 1984. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law Mary and Al Williams, of Wingham, his daughter-in-law Ruth McCosh, of Goderich, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. 1 Funeral services were held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Apr. Home h Rev. Kincardine on Sunday, pr3 McLenaghan officiating. Interment Kincar- dine Cemetery. • MYRNA HUNKING Myrna Grace Hunking of R.R5 Clinton died in the Clinton Public Hospital on Aptil 20. She was 74 -years -old. Mrs. Hunking was the daughter of Clarence Essex of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Ellwood (Lola) Atkinson of Goderich. She was born in Goderich on June 21, 1938. On January 24, 1968 she married Donald Hunking. Mrs. Hunking, who was a piano technician at Sherlock -Manning Piano's, Clinton, until she became ill in October of 1985, is survived by her parents, her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Joyce) Cuttell of London; Mrs. Murray (Kathy) Hunking, of Goderich and Dawn Laureen Hunking at home. She is also survived by four grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Mrs. Gordon (Elsie) Hulley and two brothers, Joe and Alvin Essex, all of Goderich.
