Association Annual Training Conference i§
shaping up well, with training session
topics identified and presently being plan-
ned: Your community recreation board's
opportunity for a day of excellent profes-
sional development and training is being
centrally hosted in the Town of Hanover,
through its Recreation, Parks and Com-
munity Centres' Board, Saturday, April 5.
The John Diefenbaker Secondary School
will provide the facilities for a day of lear-
ning, sharing and gaining valuable infor-
mation for the benefits of all Boards and
Communities. In addition to the many ex-
cellent training sessions and resource per-
sonnel to be available, those attending will
also be able to interact with over eighty
other conference delegates, sharing com-
mon concerns and information. Training
session topics will include: Grants and
Financial Resources; The Role of New
Board Members; Fundraising and
Scrounging; Aging Plants and Reserve
Funds; Rural Recreation Without
Fulitime Staff; Liability Insurance Effects
on Recreation, and Pot Pourri where
anyone can ask and share on any topic
desired.
Registration for the Conference will lie
minimal, at just $15 per person for
O.M.R.A. members and $20 for non-
' members, with lunch and resource
materials included in the fee. The registra-
tion deadline for all delegates is March 29,
following which a late fee will be in-
stituted. Please plan on registering early
to allow the best possible conference plan-
ning, makingyour visit to Hanover en-
joyable and•of the highest benefit to you.

points with the "Girls" coming away with
four points. High games rolled by Bev
Whetstone 203, Dorothy Bourdeau 216, 606a
triple. The Marionettes came away with
three points led by Kit Smith 195, Joan
Crawford 198, Marion Beacom 210, Ila
Williams 197, 533 triple.
Melba Maillet led the Oldtimers to a five
point win over the No Names. They were
really hot with above average games rolled
by Jane Boyd 171, Chris Reed 185, Kris
Miller 204, Bev Million 244, Nancy White 226,
239, 616 triple and Melba Maillet 337, 655 tri-
ple. The No Names fought back for 2 pts. led
by June Rourke 181, Donna Duncan 185, 221,
Anne -McCartney '211, 224, 608 triple, Del
Geddes 254, 653 triple.
Auleen's Angels made a move in the stan-
dings as they took five points from the
Blazers. The Angels had high games rolled
by Grace Mugford 196, Joan Burleigh 210,
Auleen Theriault 201, 217, Brenda Dineen
548 triple. The Blazers took two points led by
Gladys Nicholson, 172, Joyce Hamilton 540
triple.
Troubles Back'bowled against 100 percent
of their average and came away with five
points. Good .games.' rolled by Deb Stright
162, Jennifer Kruspe 192, Audrey Durniri
199, 201, 565 triple.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON LADIES
League standings are tightening up with
only six points between top four teams.
Rolls Royce, with 299 from Gwyn McRae
managed one point to stay in the lead.
Thunderbirds took six points with Marie
Park's 230 and 126 P.O.A. by Kay Glen.
Hots, in second, took all seven points from
Edsels. Shirley. Smith rolled 259, 253, 269-781
while Donna Crawford was, 119 P.O.A.
Yvonne Dougherty had 236. Barb Pigg, (211)
led good scores by all Mustangs to take five
points and third place but a 264 by Grace
Mugford saved two points for Love Bugs.
Firebirds, with Susan Huisser's 207, took
four points from Porsches. Pat Burroughs
rolled 270 and 603. Joyce Hamilton (203) led
Ramblers to five points off Caddies who had
a 205 from Ilene Sillib. Ponies took seven
points from Hondas. Elsa Fickei t had 505.
Grub's Group took 16 points from ,the
first place team on the strength of Tim
Gerrits 129 triple but failed to take over
firstplace.
The Goderich Entertainers took 27 out of
30 points,from Bezerko Buddies with Brian
Wilson rolling a 728
Sound Trek took t19 points from Huronia
Hustlers with Bill Tranter rolling a 648.
The standings are: Bonsai Bombers -
2601/2 points; Grub's Group- 259; Bezerko
Buddies- 246; Entertainers- 226points;
Sound Trek- 220 points' and Huronia
Hustlers -214 points. :
