A donation of $4,448 has been made to Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in memory of
Judy Timms: The cheque was presented to hospital administrator, Ken Englestaad, right,
by Judy's husband, Mel on behalf of her friends and relatives. The donation will be used to

annexation of land in Goderich Township.

ministration and personnel committee will
meet at town hall.
On Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m., Huron County
council will meet in the council chambers at
the Courthouse, Goderich.
On Feb. 6 at 7 p.m., the parks and water-
front committee will meet at town hall.
On Friday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m., the sub-
committee of the Goderich economic
development committee will meet at town
hall:
On Monday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m., the Huron
County library board will meet in the coun-
cil chambers at the Courthouse, Goderich.

The Poppy Committee of Legion Branch 109 wishes to thank the
Members, of the Branch and the Ladies' Auxiliary, the organizations
and citizens of Goderich and District and all persons who contributed
in any way to the success of the 1985 Poppy Campaign of Branch 109.
Your very generous support of this campaign and Services of
Remembrance is much appreciated. A special salute to the Lgketown
Band, the Goderich Police, Sherwood Transportation, The Signal Star
and the retailers who did poppy window displays.
The financial statement for this 1985 Poppy Campaign shows a total
revenue of 56682.22 which consisted ,of sale of poppies 54096.22,
sale of. wreaths $1136.00, donations 51443.00 and car poppies
$7.00. The expenditures were table poppies 514.25, lapel poppies
$660.00, wreaths 51028.00 and promotional material5167.82 which
total $1870.07. The new profit of 54812.15 has been deposited in
the Branch 109 Poppy Trust Account and will be used this year in
support of needy veterans and their dependants and for special
community needs as laid down in the legion regulations governing
the use of Poppy Trust Funds.
