Commissioner of Works Ken Hunter presented an industrial park land inven- tory reportindicating that in excess of 220 acres was available in 1970 in the in- dustrial park and there'nowremains 49.2 acres available for sale. This averages ap- proximately. 11 acres per year being sold in the industrial park: All e,isting options for 1986'will be pick- ed up by the respective industries, noted Hunter. "It's Obvious why we need the land. We have to, plan ahead and I don't think we have that much land available," said Hunter. Clerk Administrator Larry McCabe pointed out that a municipality usually ' plans ahead between 15 and 20 years when planning industrial land and Goderich only has enough land available to plan ahead five years: in otner business the committee established the 1986 budget. Members decided to budget $4,000 for advertising, $1,500 for association fees, conferences and seminars, $1,400 for committee honorariums, and $1,000 for sundry ex penses. The money for construction of ser- vices will be withdrawn from reserve as recommended by the committee. The committee decided the Impost by- law and Suncoast Extension by-law could be analysed later in the year along with any futher sale of property and the com- mittee could then make a reccmmendation to council at the appropriate time for con- struction of services which would be paid for from reserve. • Insurancelor legal fees concerns lawyers mimstrative law.
