Crimeproofing hopes to present rime
in home, business and community
As winter approaches you will be noticing
the word, "Crimeproofing" and the red logo
of the Ministry of the Solicitor General of
Ontario on posters and pamphlets in your
community.
"Crimeproofing" is the programme that
offers you innovative and helpful ways of
preventing crime in your home, business
and community.
The program will be introduced in
November with ten seminars on crime
prevention being held from the 4th to the
10th throughout the Province of Ontario.
Seminar locations: will include Ottawa,
Belleville, Kingston, Toronto, Hamilton,
London, Windsor, Sault Ste. Marie, North
Bay and Thunder Bay. These crimeproofing
sessions are being produced by each city's
police department with assistance from the
local community and the office of the
Honourable George W. Taylor, Q.C.,
Solicitor General of Ontario.
Two pamphlets will be released at these
seminars, one for Ontario Women and
another for Ontario Seniors.. These contain

helpful tips to improve their personal
security and that of their home and posses-
sions. The pamphlets also suggest ways in
which we can all assist in the security of our
neighburhoods and community.
Members of Ontario communities are
recognizing that, while the resources of
local police departments are limited, the
volunteer resources of people in every
neighbourhood are virtually unlimited.
As each day passes we are seeing more
groups of dedicated and concerned citizens
joining together to start excellent programs
such as Neighbourhood Watch, Block
Parents, Anti -Drug and Drinking Pro-
grams. These programs, combined with the
efforts of the local police, are the answer to
maintaining our towns and cities as safe and
pleasant places in which to live.
If you wish to find out more about
crimeproofing programming in your area,
contact your local police department's Com-
munity Service Office or your local Ontario
Provincial Police Office.

The results are in
U.S. university and dealer results from the past four growing seasons prove it — strip
applied fertilizer produces a higher yield than broadcast applications. The reason is con-
centrated placement. Plant roots are more able to feed rom a nutrient -rich strinthan
from a diluted total coverage application.
Whether you are
in conventional moldboard, mini till or no -till , strip application
results in improved nutrient efficiency.
