teem and on Saturday evening, Auburn beat
the Porter's Hill team.
The coach, Clare Millian and the captain,
Gordon Daer accepted the trophy from
president Walter Bell.
The ` players were Torn Perry, Torn
Cunningham, Rick Archambault, -Steve
Bromley, Steve Haggitt, Steve Campbell,

Brussels Ladies' .Softball team won the
championship laat Saturday at their
tournament in Brussels. The, Auburn team -
defeated the Londesboro team but lost to
Bluevale, Belgrave, West . Wawanosh and
Brussels.
The Auburn Ladies' Sla-titch; team was
defeated last weekend in the tournament
held at Dungannon. The players throughout
Anita Sowerby, Anne Vincent, Jane Rodger
and Hillie Blok.

The -Auburn Women's Institute will hold
their September meeting on September 18 at
10 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Marjorie
McDougall. The meeting will be in the
charge of Mrs. Tom Lawlor and the topic
will be on Resolutions.

that, as of August 10 the incorporation of the
Auburn Lions Club had been approved.
Marinas was presented with a Past
President Plaque by Jim Schneider and all
the members showed their appreciation for

Redford marched with the Dungannon
Twirlettea last Saturday in the Lambeth
parade.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Keith of Kirkland
visited for a few days on the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cartwright.
The Auburn Booster Club will hold their
first meeting on September 18. at 8 p.m. at
the home of Mrs. Ross Dobie. New members
are welcome.

were home from Humber College, Toronto
for the weekend with their parents, Mr. and
MTs., Donald, Ga t,
Kornelius Hamming.
Mr. Gary Shuttleworth, minister at Knox
United Church, chose for the theme of his
sermon last Sunday, "Little children should
be...?" and Mrs. Gordon Gross was the
organist. The choir sang the anthem, "Trust
and Obey". The ushers were Ken Ramsay,
Dana Bean, Murray Rollinson and Peter
Verbeek. In charge of the junior
congregation were Mrs. Ross Dobie, Mrs.
Allan Craig, and Mrs. Marinus Bakker.
