Beach Association holdsannual dinner
Eighty residents and guests of the Maple
Grove Beach Association held their fourth
annual dinner Sunday. Due to the inclement
weather, .the dinner was held in the base-

Jenny Boyd from London visited with
Mery and Myra Latin at their summer cot-
tage in Port Albert over the holiday

Frank Pentland celebrates
Congratulations to Frank Pentland on the
occasion of his 75th birthday. Many friends,
old and young, as well as relatives, called on
Sunday afternoon at the Seniors Centre
when open house was held by his family,
Liz, Pat, Roger and Donna.
Bill and Marie and Brad Park visited in
Goderich on Sunday with Mike and Val Ben -
dig, Joel and Katie and also Jack and Marj
Bendig of Guelph.

ting to school for the first time on Tuesday

The fall club "Fitness Fare" will be star-
ting, shortly. This club stresses good
breakfast, lunch, and snacking habits.
• Members also learn exercise routines.

Church News
Morning prayer was observed at the 9:30
a.m. 'service at Christ Anglican Church Sun-
day. The Reverend Douglas Pitts conducted
the service. Visitors were in attendance
from London and Sarnia. Next Sunday's ser-
vice will be at 2 p.m. and will be conducted
by the Reve id Rohert Grp ter+

the death of her aunt Laura Plaskett of Lon-
don. The funeral service was held last
Wednesday in London.
Ray and Gwen Copeland motored to Lon-
don on Sunday to take Ray's sister Dolly
home following a holiday with them.
At the seniors bi-weekly euchre games,
there were 10 tables in play. High man's
card was Margaret Errington, low man's
score was Nelson Pearson and Jason
Phillips tied. Jason won the draw. High
lady's card was Mary Stewart, low tie was
between Belle Mole and Evelyn Errington.
